General Terms and Conditions for Memberships and Additional Services at SATS

Last updated: 1 August 2026. The applicable terms and conditions are always those published on the company's website.

1. General

These general terms and conditions ("the Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your" or "the member") and SATS Sports Club Sweden AB, Box 1359, 172 27 Sundbyberg, company registration number: 556563-2527 ("SATS", "us" or "we") when you purchase or use SATS' products or services.

When purchasing membership or other products or services from SATS, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted the Terms.

The Terms may be supplemented by specific rules, including gym rules as well as safety and conduct guidelines. Such specific rules are available at all SATS facilities and on www.sats.se (the "SATS website") and are updated regularly.

Temporary memberships, including trial, campaign, or drop-in memberships with limited validity, are considered memberships and are subject to the Terms throughout the membership period.

Certain services may also be used without membership. When using such services, the Terms apply to a corresponding extent.

SATS' Privacy Policy describes how we process your personal data; see the SATS website.

When using the SATS app, specific terms apply; see the SATS website.

2. SATS Memberships

2.1 Who Can Become a Member

Membership may be entered into by individuals who have reached the age of 18 and have a health condition such that the use of the services does not involve an apparent health risk or risk of injury.

Minors from the age of 11 may become members if a legal guardian enters into the agreement and is legally and financially responsible for the membership.

If, at the time of entering into the membership or during the membership period, SATS has strong reason to assume that the use of the services may pose a clear risk to the member's health, SATS may suspend the member's access to the services until a satisfactory medical certificate has been presented. If such a certificate is not provided within a reasonable time, SATS may terminate the membership in accordance with clause 7.3.

SATS may refuse membership to individuals who have outstanding debt to SATS or who have previously been suspended.

2.2 Membership Registration and Access to SATS Facilities

SATS offers several types of memberships with different prices, access levels and content. Information about this is provided at registration and on the SATS website or in the SATS app. Once the membership has been created, it can be managed by the member via "My Pages".

Access to SATS facilities requires the use of a membership card or the SATS app, which can function as an entry card.

When entering into a membership, the member must establish a digital payment agreement; see clause 5.

Before the membership is activated, the member's identity must be verified through a personal visit to a SATS facility with valid identification. At the same time, a photograph of the member will also be taken before the membership can be activated. To gain access to SATS facilities, the member must be able to identify themselves upon request.

The membership is personal and may not be transferred or used by anyone else. SATS may require valid identification to be presented during visits, and if the member cannot identify themselves, access may be denied.

SATS will, as far as possible, adapt its offerings and opening hours in accordance with members' needs, preferences and usage. However, individual facilities may be closed or have a reduced offering in connection with, among other things, public holidays, vacation scheduling, maintenance or force majeure.

2.3 Access to SATS for Minors

For members from the age of 11 up to and including the year they turn 14, use of SATS facilities is conditional on the minor training together with a responsible legal guardian.

Members may train on their own from and including the calendar year in which they turn 15. Children under 11 only have access to MiniSATS; see clause 4.5.

3. Well-being, Safety and Responsibility

3.1 Code of Conduct and Use of Our Clubs

Members must behave considerately, responsibly and respectfully towards other members, employees and third parties, and contribute to a safe, orderly and inclusive training environment.

Behaviour that, in the opinion of SATS, is disruptive, threatening, discriminatory, creates a sense of insecurity, is offensive, or otherwise inappropriate is not permitted. The same applies to behaviour that entails a risk of injury to persons, equipment or property. SATS has zero tolerance for illegal acts.

3.2 Safety Instructions

Members are required to familiarise themselves with and comply with SATS' applicable safety procedures, including fire safety, emergency exits and first aid equipment.

For safety reasons and to avoid blocking evacuation routes, bags, backpacks, outerwear and similar items may not be brought into training areas. Local adaptations, signage and instructions from SATS staff must always be followed.

SATS uses camera surveillance in its gyms in accordance with applicable legislation, on-site information, and the SATS' Privacy Policy.

3.3 Training at Your Own Risk

Members train at their own risk and must independently assess their own health condition and refrain from activities that are not compatible with it. This applies to all use of SATS services.

SATS is not responsible for personal injury resulting from negligent behaviour, failure to follow instructions, or use contrary to the intended use of equipment, regardless of whether the injury occurs during independent training or when using additional services. This does not limit SATS' liability under mandatory law.

3.4 Anti-Doping

SATS actively works with anti-doping. Any use, possession, or sale of doping substances and other prohibited substances is forbidden on SATS premises and in connection with the use of SATS services.

Members are required to comply with applicable anti-doping rules, including testing and instructions. To maintain a safe and healthy training environment, SATS may require the member, as a condition for continued access to membership and SATS facilities, to undergo or participate in doping controls.

3.5 Storage of Personal Belongings

The member is responsible for their personal belongings at SATS, including items stored in lockers.

If belongings are left in locked lockers after the gym has closed, SATS may break open the lock and store the belongings. Forgotten items are stored by SATS for a limited period before being donated or discarded.

SATS is not responsible for theft, damage, or loss of personal belongings that the member brings to SATS gyms. This applies regardless of where the items are stored.

3.6 Commercial Activities

All commercial activities at SATS facilities that are not conducted by SATS itself are only permitted with a written agreement with SATS. This includes all forms of marketing, promotional activities, provision of services, and content production for commercial purposes. SATS determines whether an activity is considered commercial.

The prohibition includes, among other things, the sale or offering of training services, marketing of one's own or others' business, as well as photography and video recording for use in advertising, campaigns, collaborations, sponsored posts, affiliate content, and other commercial material.

4. Additional Services

4.1 General

Members may purchase various additional services at selected SATS facilities. Availability, capacity, and the scope of activities, offers, and additional services may vary between SATS facilities and between different countries where SATS operates. SATS cannot guarantee availability or access.

Detailed rules regarding cancellations are set out in clause 7.4, and further information on booking, check-in, deadlines, prices, and any limitations is available on the SATS website and in the SATS app.

4.2 Group Training

Access to group training requires a membership that includes group training. Members may register for group training within the limitations applicable to their current membership at any given time.

Registration for group training is carried out via SATS' applicable booking system. Attendance must be checked in within the applicable check-in period; otherwise, the spot may be allocated to another member. Failure to cancel or failure to attend may result in temporary restrictions on the use of the offering, as described on the SATS website.

4.3 Personal Training

The purchase of training with a personal trainer ("PT") is subject to the applicable prices listed on the SATS website. Prices vary for individual sessions ("PT sessions") and packages consisting of multiple sessions of varying durations. A PT session entitles the member to one PT session of the duration specified at the time of purchase. Unless otherwise stated, PT sessions are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Packages of 50 PT sessions or more are valid for 16 months.

The purchase of PT sessions grants access to train with available personal trainers at the level specified at the time of purchase. SATS may, if necessary, assign another personal trainer of an equivalent level. In such cases, SATS will discuss an alternative personal trainer with the member. Such changes do not entitle the member to compensation.

The member must verbally inform the personal trainer of any relevant injuries, illnesses, or other conditions that may affect the training.

4.4 Boot Camp

SATS Boot Camp is goal-oriented training led by a SATS instructor or personal trainer for a small group of participants, with a pre-agreed number of sessions, duration, and schedule. SATS may, if necessary, assign another staff member to lead the session. In such cases, SATS will communicate with the participants of the group. Such changes do not entitle the member to compensation.

The member must verbally inform of any relevant injuries, illnesses, or other conditions that may affect the training.

4.5 MiniSATS

MiniSATS is a temporary childcare service offered to members while they train at SATS. The service may be used by members for their own children from six weeks of age up to and including 12 years old. The child must be registered by a guardian upon arrival, who must remain on the SATS premises throughout the visit and be available for immediate contact.

The stay at MiniSATS is time-limited. The number of children that can be accommodated varies depending on capacity, staffing, and safety assessments.

The service may only be used by children without symptoms of contagious illness and who have been symptom-free for at least two days prior to the visit.

4.6 Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy at SATS is carried out by licensed healthcare professionals and is specifically regulated by law. The physiotherapist is responsible for the healthcare provided, including medical record-keeping, confidentiality, and professional standards, as well as the processing of personal data in accordance with the Patient Data Act.

Physiotherapy involves examination and physical treatment, which may entail a risk of unforeseen reactions or discomfort. Treatment is conditional upon the patient having received the necessary information in accordance with GDPR.

The physiotherapist is obliged to provide good and safe healthcare and treatment in accordance with the Health and Medical Services Act.

4.7 Smart Training by SATS

"Smart Training by SATS" is a digital, equipment-based training offering that combines training equipment, software, and an associated application to provide the member with personalized training guidance based on training data.

Use of Smart Training by SATS requires that you, as a member, choose to register and accept the terms for logging in to and using the associated application. In connection with this, you will receive information on how SATS processes your personal data, including training data and performance metrics, in accordance with the applicable SATS' Privacy Policy.

To access the full functionality of the application, including training data and performance metrics, you must provide your consent to the processing of health data in accordance with GDPR.

Data, analyses, and training recommendations are based on available information and automated systems and are for guidance only. SATS makes no guarantees regarding accuracy, completeness, or suitability. If Smart Training by SATS enables integration with third-party services or external devices, SATS is not responsible for the functionality, availability, or data processing of such third-party solutions.

5. Payment

5.1 Membership Payments

The current price of the membership is available on My Pages.

The member shall pay the monthly membership fee, any enrolment fee, and any additional fees and services in accordance with the applicable rates. The same applies to any parent, guardian, or other person who has assumed legal responsibility for the membership.

Membership fees are paid monthly in advance unless otherwise agreed. The payment agreement will be charged on the due date. Available payment methods are listed on our website. The member must ensure that the payment limit under the payment agreement covers all monthly charges.

For memberships purchased with prepayment for longer periods, payment must be made for the agreed number of months. SATS will inform the member that the membership will be automatically renewed if it is not terminated, as well as the terms for continued membership, no later than one month before the deadline for termination. The member must, no later than the last day of the month before the period ends, notify via My Pages whether the membership should be renewed with a new prepayment for another agreed period or terminated. If SATS does not receive such notification, the membership will automatically continue as an ongoing agreement at the applicable list price.

The member is responsible for ensuring that the payment agreement and associated payment information remain accurate and active throughout the membership period. If payment cannot be processed due to insufficient or incorrect payment information, or because the payment agreement has expired, the payment will be considered overdue.

In the event of non-payment, SATS will send a payment reminder. If payment is still not received, a debt collection claim will be issued in accordance with the Debt Collection Act. SATS is entitled to charge compensation for costs as well as default interest in accordance with the Debt Collection Act, the Interest Act, and other applicable legislation. Non-payment is considered a breach of the Terms.

In the event of payment default, SATS may temporarily suspend the member's access to SATS until the outstanding amount has been paid. This does not release the member from payment obligations under the agreement, including any remaining binding period.

5.2 Payment for Additional Services

Payment for additional services is made in advance together with the membership, using the payment method registered to the membership, unless otherwise specifically agreed for the particular service.

6. Discounts

SATS may offer discounted memberships to specific groups, such as students, youth, seniors, and members through corporate agreements, in accordance with the applicable prices and terms on the SATS website.

Discounts require valid documentation. This also applies to memberships with discounts or subsidies provided by an employer, which are considered personal memberships.

The member must notify SATS without undue delay if the right to a discounted membership ceases. When the conditions for the discount are no longer met, for example upon completion of studies or termination of employment, the membership fee will be adjusted to the applicable list price, regardless of any binding period. The membership will continue under standard terms until it is terminated.

7. Duration, Termination and Cancellation

7.1 Duration

The membership is valid from the start date as agreed and stated on My Pages. All memberships run until further notice without a fixed end date and are automatically renewed until terminated in accordance with the terms below.

Any binding period, if applicable, is stated on My Pages.

7.2 Member Termination and Expiry of Membership

The member may terminate the membership with one (1) month's notice via My Pages. The termination will take effect at the earliest at the end of the following month.

During a binding period, termination will only take effect at the end of the binding period, provided that the termination is registered no later than before the end of the second-to-last full calendar month of the binding period.

Termination during the binding period may be granted exceptionally if the member can document unforeseen circumstances that make it practically impossible to use the membership. SATS may offer the member the option to terminate the membership during the binding period upon payment of a specified early termination fee.

Unused services, such as additional services referred to in clause 4, are not refunded upon termination of the membership, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.

7.3 SATS' Right to Terminate Membership

SATS may terminate the membership with one (1) month's prior written notice if there are objective grounds, including operational or safety reasons, or if the member fails to provide an acceptable medical certificate within the time limit specified in situations described in clause 2.1. Any prepaid amount for the membership period after the expiry of the notice period will be refunded proportionally.

In the event of a material breach of the Terms, SATS may terminate the membership with immediate effect; see clause 10.

7.4 Cancellation of Additional Services

Cancellation of additional services referred to in clause 4 must, as a general rule, be made no later than 24 hours before the scheduled time or treatment. In the event of cancellation after this time limit, or failure to attend without timely cancellation, the member will be charged for the scheduled time or treatment.

Certain services may be subject to different cancellation rules. The rules applicable at any given time are available on the SATS website and in the SATS app.

7.5 Right of Withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from agreements concluded at a distance via the SATS website or app for the purchase of memberships or services (right of withdrawal) within 14 days without providing any reason.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must notify SATS within 14 days from the conclusion of the agreement that you wish to withdraw, for example by contacting SATS customer service or by using our withdrawal form, which you receive by email in connection with the purchase. You can also use our withdrawal function available on the SATS website. If the right of withdrawal is exercised, the parties' obligations to fulfil the agreement will cease.

If you exercise the right of withdrawal, we will refund all payments received from you after we have received your notice that you wish to exercise the right of withdrawal. The refund will be made using the same payment method that you used for the payment and no later than 14 days from the day you notified us of your decision to withdraw.

If you have expressly requested that the membership or another service should begin before the withdrawal period has expired, SATS is entitled to charge for the part of the service that has been provided.

The right of withdrawal ceases to apply if the service has been fully performed before the withdrawal period has expired, provided that you have expressly consented in advance and acknowledged that the right of withdrawal is thereby lost.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to purchases made in our physical locations, such as additional services or goods.

7.6 Claims for Defective Services

If there is a defect in the provision of SATS' services, you have the right to notify us of the defect within a reasonable time after you discovered, or ought to have discovered, the defect.

A claim made within two months from the date on which you discovered, or ought to have discovered, the defect will always be considered to have been made within a reasonable time. Your right to make a claim expires no later than two months after the end of the three-year liability period.

If you wish to make a claim, you may contact our Customer Service via the SATS website or by post. Please see SATS' postal address in clause 1 of these Terms.

8. Freeze and Changes to the Membership and Additional Services

8.1 Membership Freeze

The member may freeze their membership via My Pages. Freezing means that the membership is temporarily paused for an agreed period and cannot be used during this time. Any additional services will automatically follow the same freezing period.

During the freeze period, a reduced membership fee is charged. In documented cases, SATS may grant a freeze free of charge; see the SATS website.

Freezing applies only to full calendar months, starting no earlier than the first day of the following month. The membership is automatically reactivated when the freeze period ends but may be reactivated earlier via My Pages. In the event of early reactivation, the freeze fee will be refunded proportionally.

If the membership is terminated during a freeze period, the notice period will begin the day after the freeze period ends. In the case of a binding period, this will be extended by a number of days corresponding to the freeze period.

Further terms for freezing, including price, duration, number of occasions, and other conditions, are determined by SATS and may be subject to change. The applicable terms are shown on My Pages.

8.2 Membership Changes

You may change your membership and additional services. An upgrade of the membership takes effect immediately, while a downgrade takes effect after the end of the following month.

When changing the membership and any additional services, the price applicable at the time of the change will apply.

If you have paid using your wellness allowance, you cannot downgrade your membership during the prepaid period. The same applies to memberships that have been prepaid for a fixed period.

8.3 Wellness Allowance

The wellness allowance may be used in accordance with the applicable rules for tax-exempt wellness benefits at any given time. The member is responsible for ensuring that the relevant service is approved by their employer.

In the event of early termination of the membership, any membership time already used will not be refunded. Any refund for an unused period will only be made to the extent required by mandatory law or these membership terms.

9. Changes to Prices, Terms and Offerings

9.1 Price Changes

SATS may, once per year, adjust the price of ongoing membership agreements in line with changes in the Consumer Price Index without prior notice. In addition, SATS may change the prices of memberships and services if necessary to cover increased costs or changed circumstances. This includes, among other things, upgrades to training facilities, equipment, or digital services, operating and maintenance costs, changes in legislation or decisions by authorities, events beyond SATS' control, and changes in market conditions. Such price changes will be communicated in good time and no later than one (1) month before the price change takes effect.

For price increases other than those resulting from changes in the Consumer Price Index, the member may terminate the membership with effect from the date the price change takes effect. Such termination must be notified no later than 14 days before the change comes into force. If no such termination is received within this time frame, the change is deemed accepted. The right of termination under this clause does not apply to price changes resulting from the expiry or termination of introductory offers, campaign prices, discounts, or other price benefits.

For members with a binding period, price changes will take effect only after the expiry of the binding period, unless the change is due to the termination of a discount in accordance with clause 6.

9.2 Amendments to the Terms

SATS may amend the Terms if necessary to improve or clarify their content, comply with legal or regulatory requirements, provide clearer information about SATS services, training facilities, or digital solutions, implement changes or expansions to services or memberships, in the event of reorganization, for safety reasons relating to members, staff or property, or to adapt the Terms to force majeure situations as defined in clause 13.

SATS will inform members of changes to the Terms no later than when the changes take effect. If the changes have a non-negligible negative impact on the member's rights, SATS will provide at least one (1) month's prior notice. In such cases, the member may terminate the membership with effect from the date the changes take effect. Such termination must be notified no later than 14 days before the changes come into force. If no such termination is received within this time frame, the change is deemed accepted.

9.3 Changes to Membership Services

SATS may make changes to the services included in the membership, including temporary closure of facilities, adjustments to services, and/or other operational changes. If such changes have a non-negligible negative impact on the member, SATS will notify the member no later than one (1) month before the change takes effect. In such cases, the member may terminate the membership with effect from the date the changes take effect. Such termination must be notified no later than 14 days before the change comes into force. If no such termination is received within the time limit, the change is deemed accepted.

SATS training facilities have varying features and offerings, including equipment and additional services that are not part of the guaranteed service offering. Such facilities, equipment, and offerings, such as saunas, may be changed or removed at individual facilities without prior notice and do not entitle the member to a price reduction, compensation, or any other claim against SATS.

10. Breach of the Terms

In the event of a breach of the Terms, SATS may take proportionate measures depending on the nature and severity of the violation. Measures may include warnings, temporary removal, temporary or permanent suspension, closure of affected facilities or services, claims for compensation, and/or termination of the membership.

Such measures do not release the member from payment obligations during the applicable notice period and/or any binding period.

Before taking more severe measures, SATS will, to the extent practically possible, inform the member in advance.

Criminal acts will be reported to the police.

11. Communication and Notices

General information about the membership and any additional services is communicated to the member via the contact details registered on My Pages. Notices regarding changes in accordance with clause 9 are sent to the member via SMS or email. Notices and other communication are considered received when they have been sent to the member's registered contact details. The member is responsible for ensuring that the contact details on My Pages are always accurate.

If you have questions about membership, bookings, training offers, or the Terms, you can contact us via customer service.

12. Transfer of Rights and Obligations

SATS may transfer its rights and obligations under the Terms to another company, provided that the member's rights are not adversely affected. In the event of such transfer, SATS will provide at least one (1) month's prior notice, and the change will take effect on the first day of the month following the expiry of the notice period.

The member may not transfer their rights or obligations under the Terms.

13. Force Majeure

SATS is not liable for failure to deliver or for limited performance caused by force majeure. Force majeure refers to extraordinary events beyond SATS' control, such as natural disasters, fire, flooding, pandemics, strikes, lockouts, war, decisions or restrictions by authorities, interruptions in electricity or network services, and similar events that make performance impossible or unreasonably burdensome.

14. Disputes and Jurisdiction

In the event of disagreement, claims, or other disputes, we ask that you first contact customer service. If we are unable to resolve the issue, you have the right to have the dispute reviewed by an alternative dispute resolution body. In Sweden, you can submit a complaint to the National Board for Consumer Disputes ("ARN") via their website www.arn.se or by post to Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm.

The Terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes may be brought before a general court in Sweden.

In the event of discrepancies between different language versions, the Swedish version shall prevail.
